bilmar
Small business running SBS and Exchange 2003. Currently using ver 7.6 with Exchange option but we are only backing up Exchange Server and First storage group. Do we need to back up mMilboxes too or does that only help in allowing me to do a partial restore - ie one mailbox? - will backing up Mailboxes double the overall backup size by saving the same data twice?? I have tried to understand the docs on this but I am still confused. Thanks Bill
Mayoff
Mailbox backup allows for easier restore of individual items. Backup of the storage group is an all or nothing restore. Yes, mailbox backup takes up more disk space, but it compresses really well.
