Retrospect Engine Crashing When Moving Tapes

Retrospect 8.2.0 (399)

Mac Pro 10.6.8 OX Server

Atto ExpressPCI UL5D latest driver

Quantum SDLT 600 DC Tape Library

I am having two issues

1) Scheduled backups to tape do not start and proactive backups to file do not start. Scheduled backups to file do work. I have to manually run scheduled scripts to tape and sometimes the engines crashes when running a tape script.

2) On the server the engine crashes frequently especially when moving are tapes around the library during a backup

Here is a the information from the terminal when the engine crashes, I restart the engine from here. The GUI is running on a separate workstation.

Any advice is appreciated

Do you have all of your slots loaded with tapes in your library? It's been ages but I think I ran into this once, leaving a slot open was my "bandaid" to make things run smoothly.
