emulator
Dantz... Are there any plans to add client support for IBM's AIX (PowerPC) operating system? The reason I ask is that we have a production/publishing RIP server that requires a *LOT* of maintenance. Being able to back it up as a network client would be quite helpful. queball
FYI. Our company would purchase 2 AIX licenses if such a thing were available.
emulator
Can we have a Dantz reply on this?
natew
Hi This question comes up a lot in regard to the various Linux Distros as well. Agreed, wider support for Unix and Linux clients would be great. Unfortunately it is not as simple as getting the client to install and run. (thats the easy part) Dantz has to guarantee that the entire machine and OS will be fully restorable in order to provide client support. That raises the stakes quite a bit. I do not know of any specific plans to support AIX clients but I will pass it on as a feature request. Thanks Nate
