Guest
IS there a way to automate the client installer so when my users log into the domain that the client will get installed, using a predefined password and other required items in an auto answer file of some type? I would appreciate any help in this...new to the product.
Mayoff
We do have some silent install directions for Retrospect itself. These commands might work for the client too (but probably won't due to the password dialog), although it has not been tested. Silent install: 1) Open the Run window 2) Drag the installer to the Run window (the path should now show in the Run command window) 3) In the Run window, after the path to the Retrospect installer, type: /s /v/qn Such that the Run command looks something like: "D:\setup.exe" /s /v/qn Note that there is a space after the path to the setup file and after the "/s". Guest
It seems like this would be a good tool if it allowed a push install from an SMS or other login type tool to force the install when logging into the domain. But the password would need to be handled via an autoanswer file I would think. thanks..I will lokk into it..maybe this is an enhancement Dantz should look into? dpapas
That switch combo doesn't seem to be doing much. Any other possibilities for the client install? How's the answer file approach working out? -D.
