Qlite
Hi, I've updated my system to Jaguar and I have a Initio .BlueNote scssi card & a Yamaha 4416sx cd-rw drive. BTW, this drive works fine w/ Toast Titanium and native Apple desktop CD burning. When I select >configure>devices> there is a little padlock icon on the CD Icon and the text "Incompatible", upon selecting device status, the following info is presented: Currently visible, ID, Vendor, Product, and Version (as in Apple profiler); Driver : Yamaha CD-RW (1.50). Note Retrospect is started w/ no CD in the tray. PLEASE ADVISE!!!!! Thanks in advance. BW Apple's system profiler recognizes this drive as "fully supported". Info as follows: PCI-slot-c: card type: scsi Card name: Initio.BlueNote Card Model: BlueNote Vendor ID: 1101 Device ID: 9400 ROM# "not available" (though I ran there most current updater. AmyJ
The only Initio SCSI adapters currently supported by Dantz in OS 10.2 are: INI-9100UW “Miles” INI-A100U2W “Miles U2W” For a complete list of OS X supported SCSI adapters, please see: http://www.dantz.com/index.php3?SCREEN=kbase&ACTION=KBASE&id=27381
Drishmung
Note that Dantz recently changed the status of the Bluenote from supported to unsupported after discovering problems with the Initio firmware under 10.x, but also noted that they are working with Initio to provide updated drivers---they have already helped them to provide new drivers for the other two cards. We await updated Bluenote drivers with anticipation...
