SCSI Yamaha drive & Initio card?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've updated my system to Jaguar and I have a Initio .BlueNote scssi card & a Yamaha 4416sx cd-rw drive. BTW, this drive works fine w/ Toast Titanium and native Apple desktop CD burning.

When I select >configure>devices> there is a little padlock icon on the CD Icon and the text "Incompatible", upon selecting device status, the following info is presented: Currently visible, ID, Vendor, Product, and Version (as in Apple profiler); Driver : Yamaha CD-RW (1.50). Note Retrospect is started w/ no CD in the tray.

PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!

Thanks in advance.

Note that Dantz recently changed the status of the Bluenote from supported to unsupported after discovering problems with the Initio firmware under 10.x, but also noted that they are working with Initio to provide updated drivers---they have already helped them to provide new drivers for the other two cards. We await updated Bluenote drivers with anticipation...
