Start backing up a client from scratch?

I'd like to restart backing up our clients from scratch, reusing the backup sets.

 

I've tried recycling the backup sets, but the next backup only gets the latest changed files, not everything.

 

I've tried deleting backup sets and recreating them, and I seem to get the same thing.

 

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Do you have any rules that prevents older files from being backed up?

that would be my question -- do you have any rules that would be causing this issue?

 

If you've recycled the backup sets, then they should be empty so there would be nothing for subsequent backups to "match" against.

I don't believe any rules are date-oriented. It's just the User Files rule.

What if you run a backup to a new media set and use *no rules* -- are you getting everything?

 

And are you sure the clients haven't marked anything "private" from the backup?

 

I guess without some screen shots, we can't really comment further...
