Paul Wright
Some Info: Retrospect: 6.1.230 Driver: 6.1.16.100 OS: 10.4.11 OSX Server PPC We use Retrospect to back up four drives that get mounted on to the servers desktop via SMB. Retrospect will ow crash as soon as any of the four volumes are mounted on the desktop. Eject the volume and it will open fine. Any ideas? I've tried deleting the RetroConfig which made no difference. Best wishes, pul Here's the crash log: Command: Retrospect Path: /Applications/Retrospect 6.1/Retrospect.app/Contents/MacOS/AuthenticateUser.app/Contents/MacOS/../../../Retrospect Parent: launchd [1] Version: 6.1.230 (6.1) Build Version: ??? Lennart_T
Are the four drives checked for errors on their host? (Assuming it's a Windows server, try CHKDSK.)
Paul Wright
The four mounted drives are all running Linux and there'd no problems with them. I did mount an afp share this morning and that didn't crash Retrospect.
Lennart_T
Use for instance EasyFind to search you SMB volumes. http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Utilities/EasyFind.shtml (Searching traverses the disk directory, which is where Retrospect crashed.)
