sakols
Hi, I am running a mac G5 10.4.11 with Retrospect 6.1.126. I want to back my computer up to a USB drive formatted as NTFS. I am running Paragon NTFS for Mac. When I try to set up a storage set on the NTFS drive I get "Error 50 feature isn't supported" Am I doing something wrong? dan
Lennart_T
Yes, you make two mistakes. 1) USB isn't suitable for sustained throughput. Try Firewire instead. (But that's "just" a performance problem, nothing else.) 2) NTFS for backing up Mac files? Why not buy a new hard drive and format it as Mac OS Extended? Hard drives are so cheap nowadays. Apparently hasn't Paragon implemented ALL file manager calls, so it returns an error when Retrospect issues a non-implemented call.
