Ericfoos
I am trying to restore some files. The restore log says member is "Reported missing by user" I go to the backup set and look at the member in question and it not marked as lost or damaged or to be skipped. Meanwhile, backups have been working to this member, grooming has been working, and I can browse the snapshot to see the files. But I cannot restore them! MultiServer 7.6.123 Update and hot fix 7.6.2.101 Member is a disk. Edited May 15, 2009 by Guest
_jesse
I am having the same problem -- did you ever get an answer? The tape is in the drive; if you check Configure -> Devices, you can see that the backup set is recognized by Retrospect. But when you try to Restore Files, you get: + Executing Searching and Retrieval at 5/27/2009 5:46 PM (Execution unit 7) To volume Ready on Ocrbot... - 5/27/2009 5:46:28 PM: Retrieving from Scans - 2009-03-10 A Reported missing by user: "1-Scans - 2009-03-10 A" 5/27/2009 5:46:31 PM: Execution completed successfully Remaining: 1008 files, 5.8 GB Completed: 0 files, zero KB Performance: 0.0 MB/minute Duration: 00:00:
_jesse
OK, just spoke to a tech at Retrospect, and got the answer: 1. Go to Configure - > Backup Sets. 2. Choose the backup set that's "missing" 3. Click "properties" 4. Click "mark as Found" Apparently, if you ever skip a backup set during a restore, the set's members will be marked as "missing" until you manually set them back to "found".
