KJATL
Hello, I recently ran an immediate restore and the machine restored to is now beachballing. I don't really have a problem with the beachballing because other applciations work; however, the keyboard is unable to use alpha numeric characters. Alt + Tab works fine but Apple + Optn + Esc does not. I am not able to terminate the retrospect client via GUI or Terminal and safemode will beachball forever with 0 activity. I do not know if the problem sits with retrospect or a third party so I would like to get the retrospect guru's thoughts. Also, the restoration was only 1/5 of the total HD space. Let me know if there is any extra information I can provide.
Lennart_T
During a normal restore (NOT "Replace entire disk"), the restored files are restored to a new folder on the hard drive. It shouldn't affect the running system or its applications. Have you tried restarting the Mac? (Force quit the client IF necessary.)
