sdieddie Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 i recently lost all my catalog files on a PC server and had them restored by our IT super. but retrospect (mac based) does not or cannot read the catalog files? is there anything i/we can do to be able to read these files? (other than rebuild them) i think PC based server strips out the header fork from mac files, but would that be the reason a mac retrospect would not read those files? or is there another reason? thanks. Nor are the formats of the backup sets the same, either, so you can't just rebuild the catalogs. Retrospect 8 is supposed to be able to read Windows backups, though.
