Bryan
I'm having no problem with media or backup. However when I look at the backup set / Properties / Members, only 650.8 MB is being used. Why? Can this be fixed? Bryan
pjd813
I agree, I think it's a waste to use 650MB when 700MB is available.......
ChuckS
Actually, Retrospect is making use of the entire storage capacity of the media, but it has to reserve space for header and TOC data. Retrospect also has to reserve room in the tracks for block linking, so that we can properly support multisession packet writing in a consistently successful manner. So the bottom line is: Retrospect is using the capacity of the disc, but a chunk of that capacity is being used for Retrospect's own purposes. Bryan
Thanks Chuck, With that in mind I should see only 600 MB used when using 650MB media.. I'll take a look if I can find some 650MB media... Bryan
ChuckS
Yes, something like that. My own personal experience with Retrospect and TDK 650MB media, written with Sony CRX140E and CRX168B devices shows anywhere from 613-620MB used per member. Your mileage may vary.
