ashvin
Hi ALL, i have been ripping my hair out in regards to this. I have installed Retrospect on a server, teh Exchange directory sits on another server. We have a dedicated server running Retrospect. i have installed Retrospect, it finds my server and can see the mailboxes. i then create a schedule file to run everyday at 8pm, to backup all the mailboxes. But everytime i run the backup now feature it fails and the script becomes deferred. It gets stuck at different mailboxes in the log. so i remove that user mailbox and start again, then it goes and gets stuck on another mailbox. Even then the schedule does not run automantically. does anyone have any ideas? of where i should start looking at this? And can someone briefly explain what the proactive backup is. it is started but not sure if it is working.

Lennart_T
What bothers me is this line: "T-628: TMailboxFolder::OpenEntry: bad hr = 0x8004010f" Using the Exchange tools ISINTEG and ESEUTIL to Ensure the Health of your Information Store http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange-ISINTEG-ESEUTIL.html Run chkdsk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chkdsk

At least you didn't get the "T-628: TMailboxFolder::OpenEntry: bad hr = 0x8004010f" error. Try creating a new script and see if it will run automatically. (You have a very unusual error, so I'm clutching at straws here.)
ashvin
I created a new script and i got the same error.. is there anything else i can try... as the script still does even try to run automatically as set.. and the script is still deferred. ashvin
i just tried to setup the proactive backup as well. i set it be be scheduled in five minutes but it never started. it says it has been deferred. and a proactive backup has never been done.
