nicknick
Hi Long time user of Retrospect, never posted. Using w2k3 with all the patches etc. Retrospect 7.5.324 with driver update 7.5.7.103. For a week or so now Retrospect is backing up about 50gb of files to tape. The files are located directly to the server that retrospect runs from. I know for a fact that these files or at least most of them havent been touched. To me, all the preferences on Retrospect are correct so I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. This may be a os thing, I don't know. Before I go off on an w2k3 trobuelshooting exercise has anyone else had this? Thanks in advance.

Mayoff
Turn off hardware compression. Turn on software compression. Do a backup that fills the tape. What is the percent of compression listed in the log? What is the backup performance? Have you reviewed the tape capacity FAQ documents in the Knowledgebase?
