When I click on 'open' to select files to backup or infact anything that connects retrospect to my mac/volumes retrospect quits/closes. I'm on version 10.4.7 Hardware Overview: Machine Name: Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics) Machine Model: PowerMac3,1 CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.6) Number Of CPUs: 1 CPU Speed: 450 MHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB Memory: 1.5 GB Bus Speed: 100 MHz Boot ROM Version: 4.2.8f1 Serial Number: Sales Order Number: Can anyone help. waltr Posted September 5, 2006 Report Share Posted September 5, 2006 hi mat, stop doing that. here is a link to the manual: http://kb.dantz.com/article.asp?article=1116&p=2 start on page 46, in the section entitled, "Backup". when you have specific questions from that, come back and post them. you are going to get going with this program a lot faster if you understand the process rather than randomly clicking around. cheers. "When I click on 'open' to select files to backup" doesn't do much to describe a series of actions. There are lots of "open" buttons that can show up in Retrospect. But the program shouldn't quit on its own no matter what random clicks are done. I agree that reading the manual should be your first step.
