clinton Posted March 23, 2006 Report Share Posted March 23, 2006 I'd like to limit the size of my backup files on my external Hard Drives by introducing a recycle backup every 6 weeks. Will this recycle backup wipe out the entire previous 42 days worth of data or just the data from the 1st day? If it's gonna clear the entire data set; could you suggest another method? Lennart_T Posted March 23, 2006 Report Share Posted March 23, 2006 Buy a new set of external hard drives and store one set off site while the other is used for 42 days. Then switch drives and recycle the backup. Or better yet, buy two additional sets, so one set is ALWAYS in a safe place, even during "replacement day".
