Don Lee
Good error messages save a lot of grief. I just created a copy script, and Retro 10.5 is complaining about what I did, but the error message is unhelpful because the part that tells me what's wrong is truncated. Oops. (I can't make the uploader work to post the screenshot, so I posted it here: http://www.icompute.com/pub/trunkerror.jpg )
Lennart_T
Does the error message sheet get any wider if you make the while window wider? (Just as a workaround.)
Don Lee
Dunno.I tried to resize the message window, and it wouldn't.
prl
Amongst other glaringly less-than-helpful error messages must surely be: !Device trouble: "10-XYZ Backup Set A", error -206 ( drive reported a failure: dirty heads, bad media, etc.) Additional error information for device "Sony DVD RW" [0:0], Sense > (쎠爆翿 |쎠爆翿 |쎠爆翿 )[My emphasis] It's been like that for as long as I can remember.
