ozgrunt
I want to archive directories on a NAS to LTO 5 tape. However when I do it archives the full path ie: /Volumes/NAS/projects/P001_PROJECT1 I want it so that it appears in Past Backups as just the project directory name ie: P001_PROJECT1 No path.. no knowledge of where it came from... just that data. After archiving the data is to be deleted from the NAS to make room for new projects. There is also a huge wait as Retrospect looks at every file on the NAS before it decides to just archive the directory I have asked it to. How do I do this very simple task? I come from a Unix/Linux background and this is so simple with tar. Regards Grant Retrospect 9.0.
Lennart_T
Create a favorite folder on the NAS and backup that. EDIT: By all means: Update to 9.0.2. http://retrospect.com/en/support/archived
