showe Posted October 11, 2012 Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 Hi- When I look at the backups in a media set it doesn't match the backups that were run. I have a disk to disk tape array where I ran two immediate backup scripts on two different sources and then dumped to tape but the tape set shows about 20 backups on it that I did NOT do. twickland Posted October 11, 2012 Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 Unless you perform a Recycle backup or manually recycle the media set, its catalog will retain all previous backups that were in that media set's catalog (and that presumably also remain on your tapes). A Copy Backup script—as one would be likely to use in a D2D2T arrangement—does not offer a recycle option for the destination media set.
