jlbrown Posted July 20, 2012 Report Share Posted July 20, 2012 I use Retrospect 9.0.2 (107) to backup two HDs on my Mac Pro running 10.7.4. One backs up fine, the other fails with this error in the log: - 20/07/12 2:52:57 PM: Copying Andromeda on James Brown’s Computer E-mail notification failed: error -511 ( unknown service message) !Trouble reading files, error -557 ( transaction already complete) 20/07/12 3:38:06 PM: Execution incomplete Remaining: 232328 files, 382.3 GB Completed: 10 files, 1.1 MB Performance: 0.1 MB/minute Duration: 00:45:08 (00:37:25 idle/loading/preparing) I have run Disk Utility on the HD and it finds no problems. Have rebooted the Retrospect server computer and my Mac Pro to no avail. The 'drive' Andromeda is actually a mirrored SoftRAID 4.3.2 volume. The two drives themselves are 3TB Hitachi drives (HDS723030ALA640). The Mac Mini that Retrospect Server is on is running Mac OS X Server 10.6.8.
