Pixelfix
I recently came across this error: !Trouble writing media: "3-TAG_SERVER_RAID"error -205 ( unknown) > !Catalog File out of sync with Backup Set "TAG_SERVER_RAID". It first happen to a different backup set so I Created a new one. On the 3rd tape it came back. Any idea on how to fix it?

That's a puzzling error message as it refers to a "backup set" instead of a "media set." Are you using Retrospect 8? "Backup Set" was terminology used in Retrospect 5 and 6. "Catalog out of sync" means there is data in your media set/backup set that is not listed in the catalog for that set. The solution is to repair the catalog. If the error keeps recurring, it might suggest some kind of hardware problem. Please let us know more about your setup: hardware, software, OS version, etc.

I am backing up a 13TB raid 6 volume. Also, retrospect tends to crash alot.

Your Macintosh has a model, your tape drive has an interface, there may be a host bus adapter involved that has a make/model, etc. Your configuration matters, too. Where is your Catalog file being stored? Have you checked/replaced the cable to the drive? retrospect tends to crash a lot The Retrospect 8 software is comprised of two individual software pieces; the Engine and the Console. What are you reporting as crashing? What do you see?
