kenl
I am wanting to use my Lite-On DVD RW SOHW-1693S VKS04 for backups, but I keep getting the message in Retrospect Express 6.5.342: ' ASPI is not properly installed, Tape and CD/DVD devices will not be accessible under Windows 95/98/Me.' I did a reinstall of Adaptec ASPI. I had an older verion. Now have version 4.6 for Windows 98 (APIX.VXD & WNASPI32.DLL) and when I run the checker, Adaptec says 'ASPI is properly installed and is fully operational', but I still get the same message in Retrospect Express. Any help/ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, ~Ken
kenl
Anybody? Or does the Express version not support ASPI?
Mayoff
ASPI Is required for Windows 98 users of Express. I have never seen that error message. I would delete the 4 ASPI files and install again using the installer in the Retrospect folder.
