maxdreamland
i was wondering about the following. i have a lot of files (mainly digital photographs) that get changed once or twice after being created (touching them up with photoshop) but after that they potentially remain unchanged for long periods of time. I read that with the default policy the backup set gets groomed on a regular base and old backups are removed to regain space. Can i be sure that despite this grooming at least one version (the most recent prefferably) of every file remains in the backup set? or do i have to fear that files which are unmodified for a very long time at some point "drop out" at the back of the backup set, so to speak? regards Max
RonaldL
If the files still exist on volumes that are being backed up, then they would not be groomed out. If you have deleted them from the source volumes, they will eventually be groomed from the backup set.
