jbarrio Posted April 20, 2005 Report Share Posted April 20, 2005 Retrospect 6.5 Single Server I Have a HP Ultrium 460 Auto Loader that hangs up during switching of tapes. ex. mon to thurs day script executes, then a friday data follows, when the sat OS is ready to execute the tapes back up basically hangs up. Once a device scan is manually implemented sometime the library bounces back great or hangs up. The soultion for that instance is to exit retrospect then restart retrospect. This is what I've addressed so far: updated to retrospect version 6.5.350 updated driver version 5.4.110 verified that dantz does support this autoloader cleaned drive with hp oem cleaning cartridge C7978A (20 hours) using only hp oem data cartridge C7972A verified not using the windows drivers "which are disabled in device manger" Can anyone please help? RonaldL Posted April 20, 2005 Report Share Posted April 20, 2005 Try using NT SCSI Passthrough. Within Retrospect, press Control-Alt-p-p. This should bring up Retrospect secret preferences. Go under Execution and check Use NT SCSI Passthrough. Relaunch Retrospect and try backing up again. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
