datacenta
I've just installed retrospect 7.5 multi-server edition and all the settings, scripts, and clients have disappeared. Does anyone know how to import the settings from 6.5? Or is this a new feature....
waltr
hi data, settings for both are in '\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Retrospect', unless you are using and older operating system (like NT). NOTE: Application Data is an invisible folder and you may have to toggle your Windows View Options to see it. if Retrospect 7.5 did not pick up the 6.5 preferences, and you know they are in the right place (there will be a .dat and a .bak--->only one is needed, preferably .dat) the easiest way to have Retrospect import the old prefs is to quit 7.5, and then delete or move the 7.5 prefs (have your serial # ready) and then restart the program. Retrospect should pick up the preferences on the next start.
datacenta
Thanks for that, It worked but I needed to rename the 6.5 config files before 7.5 would pick them up. The original name was config60.dat. After renaming it to config65.dat it imported everything fine. Thanks for the help.
