mdhnews Posted February 6, 2006 Report Share Posted February 6, 2006 Downloaded and testiing , INstalled on an XP as the server, copied and installed the clients for Linux ( works great ) and OS X ( Tiger ), when I click on the OS X isnataller Icon all i get is " what program do you wish to open it with " ? CallMeDave Posted February 7, 2006 Report Share Posted February 7, 2006 "Mac_X_Client_Update_6_1.rcu" is not the OS X Client Installer, it is a Retrospect Client Update file, for use from within the Retrospect application. waltr Posted February 7, 2006 Report Share Posted February 7, 2006 hi md, i looked at the 7.5 download and you are correct. they did not include an installer for the Macintosh Client. here is a link you can get it from: http://www.emcinsignia.com/supportupdates/updates/#UPDATETYPE8 get the 6.1.107 client installer-->FWIW i think you'll want to update that client with the .rcu file if you want your Macintosh users to have access to new features like UIR & such.
