Guest Posted January 13, 2006 Report Share Posted January 13, 2006 Hello D forum. We had a system melt-down. The catalog files were lost. The person responsible for back ups failed to back up catalog files. Since we are fairly new to this application we simply did not know. The point now is that we have a *.rdb file that we desperately need to restore. We tried TOOLS>REPAIR CATALOG> the point to directory where the the *rdb is and nothing. we get an error that says "the selected disk does not contain any Backup Set data files, pleae select another disk". We are really stuck here and these are files that are extremely important. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. Regards, Marco Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RonaldL Posted January 13, 2006 Report Share Posted January 13, 2006 What is the directory structure for these files? It should be something like driveletter:\Retrospect\Backup Set A\1-Backup Set A\. If this is the case, point to the drive letter when doing the catalog rebuild. Pointing directly to the 1-Backup Set A folder will not work.
