UMDSmith
What do most people prefer?? I personally enjoyed duplicate until now, as this -1001 error keeps popping up when trying to write to the drive.
RonaldL
Backups put files into Retrospect's own file format so you need to use Retrospect to restore the backed up files. Advantages of a backup are that it keeps multiple versions of files (as long as you don't recycle the backup) and it also backs up the registry if you're backing up the entire system. Duplicates just copy and paste files between folders/drives. You can access the files directly rather than having to use Retrospect to restore them. It really depends on what you want to do, both have their advantages and disadvantages.
