thelar Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Hi, I have Retrospect 6.5.350 Professional OEM version. Running it on Window's XP. I connect to a Mac OSX server which I have as a mapped network drive. I'm getting problems configuring this as a volume in Retrospect, I keep getting -1017 and -1016 errors. I tried going to configure>preferences>security to put in my username and password there, but it says it's unable to grant permissions. Am I doing something wrong? Should I just install Client on the server and back it up like that? Kind regards Kevin
RonaldL Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Since you have Professional, it will not let you back up a server level operating system as a client. You can go to Configure-Volumes, right click on the mapped network drive and select Login as. You can set a user to connect to this volume as from here.
