Backing up a mapped network drive???

Hi,

I have Retrospect 6.5.350 Professional OEM version. Running it on Window's XP. I connect to a Mac OSX server which I have as a mapped network drive. I'm getting problems configuring this as a volume in Retrospect, I keep getting -1017 and -1016 errors. I tried going to configure>preferences>security to put in my username and password there, but it says it's unable to grant permissions.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I just install Client on the server and back it up like that?

Kind regards

Kevin

Since you have Professional, it will not let you back up a server level operating system as a client. You can go to Configure-Volumes, right click on the mapped network drive and select Login as. You can set a user to connect to this volume as from here.
