gonzalogil
I have a server that has thousands of .tmp files, i dont back them up as they are really only used temporarily. I specifically put in there to ignore or not backup .tmp files, and it doesnt, however, it still tries to reads them all when doing the initial file count. Because there is 900,000+ of these, you can imagine it takes quite a while to load, as i imagine the database used to hold this data is not very fast. Is there any way to have it completely ignore these files? (Without having to make a sub-volume for every one of the folders i want to backup). natew
Hi Is Retrospect installed on this server or is Retrospect client installed? Retrospect client has a feature that will allow you to hide directories from the backup server. Thanks Nate
