jimtalbert
Hi, Nate. Sorry to be so long in replying. I'm used to forums that send me an e-mail when someone responds to my posts. I'm using version 6.0.222.
natew
Hi You can set that up in your profile. The latest update for Retrospect 6.0 Win is here: ftp://ftp.dantz.com/pub/updates/rdu39.exe Thanks Nate
jimtalbert
Thanks, Nate. I have updated my profile and will keep check on Express updates with the URL you provided. You have been so helpful that I have another question for you. What is the most direct way to get to the list of all my posts?
natew
Hi I would search the forum by username. Thanks Nate
jimtalbert
Thanks again, Nate. I've found that I can ask for the list of users online, click on my name and then access my lists of posts. I would like to have a button on my home page that would do that. Is there any way to offer that to Dantz as a suggestion?
dld
The latest update for Retrospect 6.0 Win is here: ftp://ftp.dantz.com/pub/updates/rdu39.exe Hi Nate.. I have Retrospect Express 6.0.222. There is nothing wrong with it. Is it safe for me to intall the update rdu39.exe?
natew
Hi Yes. Also keep a copy handy in case you need to do a full restore of a live system. There are some critical fixes included in the 3.9 update. Thanks Nate
jimtalbert
Nate, I installed the rdu39.exe update--at least I think I did. I ran rdu39.exe and replaced the existing file with the new one from the unzipped folder it created. But Retrospect Express still shows that I have version 6.0.222. Did the update fail or did I not do it right?? Thanks. Jim
natew
Hi Open Retrospect and read the bottom most entry in the log. It will tell you the driver update version. Thanks Nate
jimtalbert
Hi, Nate. The log says, "Retrospect Driver Update, version 3.9.106." Is this the right one? Thanks. Jim
jimtalbert
Since I didn't hear from anyone on this, let me elaborate on my problem. I have 3 identical Maxtor external hard drives--H, I & J. Retrospect Express came with these drives but it does not recognize any of them even though Windows XP Express does. I do Maxtor One-Button progressive backups of my F: (data) drive daily on H:. I have no idea how it is doing those backups without recognizing H:. I thought I had done two full backups of my C: & F: drives to my I: & J: drives but discovered yesterday that I had not. Express had split both backups, putting the C: portion on C: and the F: portion on F:. What must I do to get Retrospect Express to recognize my external hard drives and do full backups to them? jimtalbert
Please excuse my post #54623 above. It was applied to the wrong thread. I'll duplicate it in the correct one if I can figure out what I"m doing wrong. Jim
jimtalbert
Nate (or anyone), no one is responding to any of my posts anymore. Am I asking too much or have I become a personna non grata for some reason?
