sahana
Hi, I have got a Maxtor one touch external hard disk. I work for a small biotech startup. We have just 5-6 systems which I am supposed to backup selectively. ie. my boss wants every perosn working here to maintain a folder which contains shortcuts or complete path to the files which I am supposed to backup. Now, how should I backup? Should I go to each computer open this folder to get the location of files to backup and then go to that particular file and then backup? Isn't there a simpler way to backup selectively? Is selective backup practical? If so how is it done? Please help me.
natew
Hi You should really consider an upgrade to Retrospect Professional with a few additional client licenses. It will make this a whole lot easier. You can have everyone share the folder that needs to be backed up and then access them through the my network container in Retrospect. If you plan on carrying the drive to each machine, forget using Retrospect. Just drag and drop a copy of the folder to the external disk.
