billyclyde Posted December 13, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 13, 2004 I corrected the problem booted to the XP CD selected R chkdsk /p fixboot exit for some reason retrospect screwed with the boot sector . . . natew Posted December 14, 2004 Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 Hi Retrospect isn't responsible for this. It does not write anything to your boot sector.
