We are getting a -1017 (insufficient permissions) error when trying to backup a folder that is encrypted using Windows' Encrypted File System. Should Retrospect be able to back this folder up? natew Posted September 8, 2004 Report Share Posted September 8, 2004 Hi Is the folder located on the machine that is running Retrospect or a networked machine? If its a networked machine are you using Retrospect client to access the folder? Make sure that the administrator account has full access to that folder.
