duvalld
I have yet to be able to back up my SQL database. I do have the SQL Agent installed and licensed and I am logged in a the administrator, so I have access to the databases. Their icons are yellow. I couldn't find any reference to the error in the KBase. Anyone know what's going on? Here's the error in the log: Can't access volume error -1221 (can't access database) Dale
natew
Hi Is the database server local or on the network? Is it using SQL authentication or Domain Authentication? Please post some more info on the software and OS versions involved here Thanks Nate
duvalld
The database is local and I am logged in as the admin. I'm running Windows 2003 Server, Retrospect 6.5 and SQL 2000. I can select the SQL container for backup, but I get the error that the SQL Server is empty (in the log after an unsuccessful backup), no volumes defined. If I select the databases themselves, (which are yellow, indicating that my login has rights to back them up) I get the -1221 error. Thanks........... natew
Hi Make sure you are running Retrospect 6.5.336. Go into the license manager and unlicense your SQL database. The quit and restart Retrospect. Go the Retrospect configure-> volumes screen and relicense the database again. With that done try the backup again. What user do you have Retrospect set to run as? Is it different from the SQL login information you are using? Thanks Nate
