tlemons Posted November 17, 2003 Report Share Posted November 17, 2003 Hi When trying to erase several DLTtape IV tapes with a DLT 4000 drive, I got the error "Couldn't erase tape, error -216". Oddly, other tapes work just fine. Given that this is a DLT 4000 drive, would it be a problem for Retrospect if this media was previously used on a DLT 7000/8000 drive?
