bnorum
I have two Windows 2003 Server R2 x64 boxes with Retrospect MultiServer 7.6 installed that both hang on startup in Terminal Session mode after running one time or after one reboot. When I go to console and start Retrospect that way, it starts fine. When it hangs, I get an outline of the Retrospect window but graphics don't draw and I can't close window in the normal way. I have to End Task. If I re-install over existing, Retrospect will run again one time, until I close it or reboot. If I turn off "Enable Retrospect Launcher Service," in Preferences, it starts fine in Terminal Services session mode. I suspect there is some incompatibility with x64 mode or with my display driver and Launcher Service in Terminal Service mode? I'd like to enable Launcher Service, but I usually leave Retrospect running all the time in Terminal Services session mode, so it's not really a deal breaker. I only access these servers in Terminal Services mode via Remote Desktop. Any thoughts? Mayoff
Other users have reported this. You will need to user the /console mode for Terminal Services. You can also use something like VNC Edited October 16, 2009 by Guest
