My XP died, ao I am now trying to restore the data from the HD onto a 64-bit Vista. Through the software, the external HD is not visible, so it does not allow me to restore. I can copy files from the external HD onto the Vista, but can't seem to open them so they can be utilized. I get an assertion failure at "thread.cpp-869". What do I need to do?
