sramdeen
Hi I'm a Windows novice, especially when it comes to servers. I have a customer with an HP ML310 G5 server running Windows 2003 R2 32 bit. They have an Atto UL3D card connected to the server via the PCI-X 'extender' kit (the server has native PCIe slots). The tape drive is a half-height Certance Ultrium LTO-2. Will all of this work together with the latest copy of Retrospect? The current backup solution is next to useless. I have suggested Retrospect as an alternative due to my experience of working with it many years ago in the Mac world (looking forward to the new Mac version so I can release my customers from the shackles of BRU). They need to be able to perform a bare-metal restore in the event of a disaster recovery scenario. They have another W2K server that they would also like to backup. Presumably this could be achieved with the Retrospect network client? Thanks very much for any pointers or advice you can offer.
Mayoff
This should be okay. If Windows can see the configuration, Retrospect should be good. Download a trial and double check.
sramdeen
Thanks very much! Didn't realise there was a demo. I'm off to do some reading to compare versions etc. Expect many (well, hopefully not that many) silly posts from me Edited December 8, 2008 by Guest
