lv2ski
I am sorry, I do not understand what you are asking..... Is it, if you put a mirror copy on (like Ghost a Win2k Server) and then back it up and do DR...does it work? IF so, yes, it'll work.
lorenzop
The issue is the follow: I have a box with 3 hard disk and I'm using windows 2k server as operating system. I did 2 partition for each hard drive and I implemented the win 2k software RAID mirror with 2 hard drives (where is installed the operating system) . I implemented the win 2k software RAID 5 in the 3 hard drives (where I store all the data). Of course one partition of the 3rd hd is not used. Can I implement the DR for Operating system ? Can I implement the DR for the data ? ciao, Lorenzo
lv2ski
You can do DR for the OS. Yes. But the data? DR is for getting the machine up and running again. Then you do a complete restore from your backup to get the data back. Does this help?
