automate windows private folders

I've got a large number of folders that I want to exclude from our backup, and I want to avoid having to point-and-click to add them all to the the private folder list in the client. Is there a way to automate adding them?

 

The machine in question has Retrospect Client 5.6 running on Windows 2000 Server. I'm backing up with Multi-server 7, so I can upgrade the client if necessary.

Hi Matt,

 

If you don't need system state info for disaster recovery for this client, you could subvolume the folders that you *do* want backed up. Or you could create a selector on the backup-server side to exclude the directories you want, however a selector would apply to all computers backed up on a particular script.

 

I would recommend updating the client, regardless.
