mattfolwell
I've got a large number of folders that I want to exclude from our backup, and I want to avoid having to point-and-click to add them all to the the private folder list in the client. Is there a way to automate adding them? The machine in question has Retrospect Client 5.6 running on Windows 2000 Server. I'm backing up with Multi-server 7, so I can upgrade the client if necessary. Thanks, Matt
nekr0phage
Hi Matt, If you don't need system state info for disaster recovery for this client, you could subvolume the folders that you *do* want backed up. Or you could create a selector on the backup-server side to exclude the directories you want, however a selector would apply to all computers backed up on a particular script. I would recommend updating the client, regardless.
