jderung Posted June 23, 2004 Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 Looking for some hints here. New G4 1.25 we want to run as a server. 9.2.2 installed. Retrospect 5.0.238 with most recent updates I can fine. Exabyte VXA-1 ATAPI/IDE drive (trying to save $$ over SCSI). VXA-1 has newest firmware. VXA-1 is visible in system profiler (shows up as a CD-ROM). Drive is not visible at all in Retrospect. In a fit of desperation we have installed 10.3 on the server and re-installed Retrospect and associated updates. Drive shows up in System Profiler just fine as a tape. Is visible in the device scan in retrospect but not as a backup device. We're really looking to stay in 9.2.2 at this stage. Any clues would be helpful! Some extension that I'm missing??? Thanks!
