dradl
Good evening! I did my first complete C: drive backup ever to CD-RWs. However, when I checked the CD-RWs for data via Windows Explorer the indication was 0 bytes used, 0 bytes free, capacity 0 bytes. Yet, when I went through Retrospect's (Version 6.5, for Windows) "verifying media integrity process" everything seemed to go smoothly. The process prompted me for each of the CR-RWs in the Backup Set. So, my lingering thought is did I really backup up my C: drive (32,000 files, 3.7GB) to the 6 CD-RWs (650 MB each) that I ended up with? I just want to make sure before I replace my hard drive. Any ideas? Thank you for your time!! dradl
kaikow
Retrospect uses a proprietary format when backing up to CD-RW, so you can only get the files by doing a Restore, i.e., you won't see them using, e.g., windoze explorer.
