abe Posted April 11, 2004 Report Share Posted April 11, 2004 I was so used to being able to back up to an FTP server (Internet backup set) in Retrospect 4.x for Mac that I was shocked just now to discover that I can't find such an option in 6.5 for Windows. Should I interpret the silence over 11 views as indicative of FTP backup NOT being present? :-( Does anyone have an idea of how best to back up to a remote FTP server using Retrospect Pro 6.5? What was great about Internet Backup sets in Desktop 4.x for Mac was that Retrospect handled turning the backup sets into small 1K-2K packets for ease of transmission. AND, it was easy to append. I can't imagine an efficient method of backing up to remote server if the backup set must be created locally and then uploaded. Why is this functionality missing in the Windows version?
