jjonns Posted March 19, 2004 Report Share Posted March 19, 2004 When attempting to backup the c: partition on a Compaq laptop to a Smartdisk Firelite External USB Hard Drive I receive the following assertion failure: Assertion falure at "tstring.cpp-410" The first time I attempted the backup, it was successful, but subsequent attempts result in the error above and a Retrospect 6.5 crash. Interesting thing is that I am able to use the Firelite drive as a source disk for a backup job but not as a destination. Retrospect 6.5 is installed on Windows XP Home Edition.
