Dude70
Howdy All! I'm using Retro Backup on a Win2k Server with approx. 30 Mac (OS 9.x and 10.3) and 50 PC (win2k and XP) clients; I was backing up over a 10mb ethernet network (one subnet) with no problems - it was great. We upgraded the network to 100mb ethernet, new wires, new nodes, new subnet (new IP/sub/gateway), the works. Now it's not so great. All my Macs show up in the client list - didn't hafta change a thing - but none of the PCs are there. I tried forgetting the clients, uninstalling the client software, searching client harddrive/registry for retro files to delete - but nothing I've tried so far keeps me from a "sorry, couldn't add backup client, error -541 (backup client not installed or not running" message. I can ping the client from the server, and server fom the client. I'm stuck. Any experience with this? Suggestions? Thanks in advance. sowen222
Just a thought... you don't happen to have firewalls installed on the workstations, which haven't been updated with the new subnet range, do you?
