If I've only used one tape out of the magazine for my current backup set & I set up another backup set, will Retrospect use the remaining tapes in the magazine for the new backup set or will they be reserved for the original backup set? I'd like to be able to separate backup sets by magazine, rather than have to pull out certain tapes out of each magazine. Is this possible in Retrospect? cj8n Posted April 15, 2002 Report Share Posted April 15, 2002 We have 3 autoloaders and 1 dlt stacker each with its own backup set. If you prename the tapes retrospect will normally pick the correctly named tape in the device. Occasionally, even if the correctly named tape is available Retrospect will switch to a different device, erase and rename a tape. This is very problematic as I have to pull the tape and mark it as missing. I wish Dantz would fix this problem! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
