OS X Client turns off by itself

Retrospect 5.0.528 installed on iMac/OS 9.2.2 512 mb RAM -consistently backs up Classic clients and Windows client,

However OS X client exhibits following behavior:

Emac

OS 10.2.8

1 Gb RAM

Retro Client

V. 5.0.528

 

"Waiting for password initialization (click 'on' button)" -This message in client app window.

 

Clicking 'on' switches client on, Client stays on for 15 seconds, then switches to 'Off'

 

Can log in to client from Server during this time period, client recognizes

password, can configure client settings until client turns off again.

 

Pitond not running initially

 

pitond Does launch when 'on' button is clicked,

But client still quits,

Pitond then continues to run, but subsequent launches of client don't stay

'on'

Restarting OS X emac results in Client reverting to OFF and pitond is not running.

 

Have uninstalled and re-installed which has not affected behavior.
