VST Firewire HD

Recommended Posts

I'm probably confused here - but using (trying to use) Retrospect Desktop 5.0203 with a 30 GB VST firewire drive and OSX, the drive is seen on the local desktop but not as an available storage device. Does that mean I'm hosed? - I thought if Retrospect could identify the drive it was supported. Any ideas?

Retrospect supports all hard drives that are supported by the Operating System. Under OS 9, this includes virtually all hard drives. Retrospect accesses hard drives directly through the operating system. If the drive is mounted on the desktop, Retrospect will be able to access it. A hard drive should never show up in the "Storage Devices" window. This window is reserved for devices such as CD burners, tape drives, Zip drives, etc.
