pnorton
In Dantz's tech note 304 it states that Appleshare does a time translation on file dates if there is a difference between the dates greater than a certain amount. I have been having a problem where a file creation and mod dates are seeming being modified by 1 second. This results in the files being backed up again. Since the files reside on a Snap server, I can't use a Retrospect client, so I have to connect via Appleshare. This is a real problem, since I am backing up 36GB of data, and it wants to do a full backup every day. In my investigation, I have noticed that the creation and mod dates of files backed up keep being decremented by 1 second (but not always). The clocks on the servers and on the computer with Retrospect are within a minute of each other. This was not a problem with Retrospect 4.3 under OS 9. Has anybody else had this problem?
